The Army Corps Trash Pickup Team will be going through the neighborhoods to pick up large debris which includes appliances, construction debris and household refuse.

Put out all your debris curbside (not on the sidewalk) by Sunday January 29th in piles that correspond to the categories below:

Construction Debris and Furniture and MICROWAVES
Vegetative Debris (tree limbs, logs, vegetation)
Household Garbage (This should be in bags)
White Goods (Refrigerators, Dishwashers, Washers, Dryers, AC Units)

The following debris needs to be dropped off at a designated area. Please check back for the designated area.

Household Hazardous Waste (Pesticides, Paints, etc.) <-- The Green Project, 2831 Marais Street, 504-945-0240

Make sure you put your trash in the street curbside and NOT on the sidewalk to aid in the pickup. Additionally, do not park in front of or behind the debris piles. If there are cars parked in front of or behind debris they will not pick up the debris.

If there are cars in front of debris piles you can print off the following sign and post on or near the debris. The sign is in PDF format. Click on the link to open the file and then print.
