St. Claude Avenue Main Street

We Got It!

If you have not already heard our application for the Urban Main Street Program was accepted. This is a great opportunity for our neighborhood and will help us revitalize St. Claude Avenue to be a thriving commercial corridor with businesses and services we need.

Our Main Street District involves nine blocks of St. Claude Avenue from Elysian Fields to Press Street and will offer businesses on St. Claude Avenue grants to do façade improvements and money to do street improvements such as new street lights, landscaping, etc.

Now that we have made it over the hurdle of the application process we will need to start organizing our Main Street committees which will steer our program. The committees are:

Organization • Promotion • Design • Economic • Development
