Neighbor-run, small business-powered and city-funded, we've received just over $30k in grants and planted nearly 50 trees so far across the Marigny's sidewalks since 2023. We've removed over 50,000 pounds of concrete and created 1,000+ new square feet of permeable shared space.

• The Marigny has a measly 7% tree canopy, one of the city’s lowest.
• New Orleans lost ~30% of its tree canopy in Katrina.
• Most of the Marigny's "planting strips" are covered in concrete, making tree planting ~2x more expensive.
